Slide background

As a Fortune 150 company, Arrow leverages its breadth of resources into its Global Compliance Program for Value Recovery, focusing on the challenges of today, for tomorrow.

With a vision that’s Five Years Out, our program incorporates best practices of today’s leading industry standards, while creating a flexible platform capable of keeping pace with global change. It includes substantial investments in  tools, techniques, processes, tracking systems, dedicated personnel, and leadership, maximizing our ability to reuse, reduce waste and practice responsible recycling of non-reusable materials, across all of our worldwide processing facilities.

That’s how we ensure your data and assets are managed safely and properly, regardless of where they originated, while saving you from unnecessary risk, expense and overhead.

Data Security

As soon as data-bearing devices leave a facility, the chance for a security breach increases dramatically. That’s why Arrow’s data security requirements are designed to not only verifiably erase hard drives, but to secure assets in transit throughout the entire disposition process, while our methods for sanitizing devices align with the Department of Defense and NIST SP 800-88 guidelines. Arrow facilities are ADISA and TAPA compliant for secure transport, physical security and data sanitization, and a Certificate of Data Destruction demonstrates 100% verification.

We do everything we can to extend the life of electronic assets, including repairing, refurbishing, redeploying, remarketing, donating and harvesting usable parts. But when electronics have no further reuse opportunity, our recycling processes exceed the norm. Arrow’s environmental policies are not only consistent with R2, RIOS, and ISO 14001 standards, but additionally require due diligence beyond just focus materials, all the way downstream and across all geographies to keep materials out of the waste stream.

Quality, Health & Safety

Because electronics can contain large amounts of toxic materials, facilities must operate with quality management processes and must be designed to protect the health and safety of everyone who touches the product. Arrow’s established facilities are ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 certified, while we continue to design new world-class operations that comply with these standards. Arrow’s web-based environmental management system ensures best practices are applied across Arrow’s global footprint and exceeds industry standards.

The Highest Standards

Arrow’s Global Compliance Program complies with current requirements of industry standards including:

  • ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001 / 14001 / 27001
  • OHSAS (Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Series) 18001
  • R2 (Responsible Recycling)
  • RIOS (Recycling Industry Operating Standards)
  • ADISA (Asset Disposal & Information Security Alliance)
  • TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association)
  • NIST (National Institute of Standards & Technology) SP 800-88

An Above Reproach Approach

Our commitment to tracking all materials streams, establishing industry-leading compliance systems in all countries, and to developing new processes to stay ahead of this ever-changing industry sets our program above the rest.

Arrow demonstrates unwavering leadership through:

  • Universal compliance – not limited to e-waste or developed countries
  • Rigorous downstream management and full transparency through final disposition
  • IT systems that provide robust change controls, traceability and reporting
  • Investments in both physical and data security
  • Transportation and logistics expertise that minimizes environmental impact
  • Lawful and responsible remarketing of assets – including export controls to block shipment to restricted entities
